About the Club

Welcome to Broughty United Youth Football Club. The club was formed in 1973 for the benefit of the youth of Broughty Ferry and the surrounding area to enjoy playing and learning football skills in a safe and friendly environment.

It is open to both boys and girls and has pathways to other sports through Dundee East Community Sports Club of which the club is a founder member.

All the coaches at the club are members of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, (better known as being Disclosure or PVG checked). This assists the Club in ensuring safety for members whilst participating in their football.

We are also a successful club having won various leagues and trophies over the years including the Scottish Cup. Over the past few seasons we have teams in all age groups winning their respective leagues, as well as cups.

The club has attained the highest award in grassroots football by the Scottish Football Association, which is the Platinum Award. This is not a one time award and the club has to maintain its standards in order to remain at this level.

The Club attained charitable status in 2019.
